Your donation helps programs like Social Recreation
Tahoe Ability Program recently added Social Recreation to our programming. For those participants who are working on their social skills but are also seeking a bit more adventure, this program is for you. During the winter months, we take advantage of our beautiful mountains by snowshoeing and skiing, while in the summer months, we raft the local rivers, mountain bike, hike, climb, attend concerts and go sailing on Lake Tahoe. Social recreation offers a chance to socialize and meet people with similar interests- an important benefit in itself. Along with physical and social benefits, outdoor activities can lead to an increase in confidence, improved creativity, and self-esteem.
